Zulma Whiteford – St. Louis School

St. Louis School is a parochial educational institution serving a diverse community of 531 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Eighth grade in Clarksville, Maryland. St. Louis School is committed to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education and provides classroom-based instruction and extracurricular opportunities for students to engage in hands-on activities that enhance their understanding and prepare them for the future.

If awarded, St. Louis School will use the funding to purchase LEGO WeDo 2.0 robotics kits for our primary grade students and drone Versacopter kits for the middle school. This will allow students from Kindergarten to Eighth Grade to develop 21st century skills including critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and engineering design. In addition, teachers will receive individualized professional development to learn how to use these tools and assist them in integrating them into their classroom curriculum.

Thank you for the opportunity and for providing the electrical safety curriculum. Our teachers will continue to use the B G&E curriculum provided to promote awareness and safety.
